For the young and young at heart

  • The Ginger Factory, located at Yandina 30 minutes drive from Noosa Keys, is the home of the world’s finest ginger, Buderim Ginger. The Ginger Shop features the world’s largest selection of ginger products. Take a ride on the authentic cane train or do an escorted factory tour to see how ginger is produced ending with a tea or coffee and a bite to eat in the pleasant courtyard café.
     
  • Garden lovers should visit the Noosa Botanic Gardens at Lake MacDonald near Cooroy. The Lake is a town water storage supply for the Noosa area and is bordered by Noosa Botanical Gardens brimming with native species and providing the perfect spot for a picnic.
     
  • Explore the Maroochy Bushland Gardens at Taniwha. There are gullies filled with ferns and palms, picnic areas, bush walks and a special area where art and sculpture is combined with the natural beauty of the surroundings.
     
  • The Valley Rattler steam train travels 80 km from Gympie through the scenic Mary Valley to Imbil on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Journey back in time on this spectacular rail adventure.
